Softening the curls of a synthetic wig.

(Wig shown is L-email/Wig-Supplier’s Princess Style SY05)

This is incredibly simple and easy, but if you’re like I was as a wig-newbie and had no idea how to care for them, it never hurts to learn the basics.

When you first pull a wig out of the bag, the curls can be fairly tight and generally fake-looking. For a softer, fuller and more natural look, grab a wire brush.

Starting from the ends and working up, brush the curls. If you run into tangles, work them out by hand if possible. Never force your brush through them, since you may end up tugging out a chunk of hair.

If the knots refuse to work out, sparingly spray detangler on the fibers to help.

That’s all there is to it! To return the curls to their original form, all you need do is wash the wig in cold water.
