OPI’s Significant Other Color ($8) review (Essie’s Set In Stones on the accent nail)
Significant Other color is a gorgeous pinky/near-lilac polish with an iridescent sheen. I have to say it’s one of those polishes that really needs to be seen in person, or at least in a .gif, because there’s no other way to capture the true color of this polish.
It’s absolutely gorgeous in the bottle. In fact, it’s just as beautiful on your nails. The problem is that even with three coats the formula is so sheer that you’ll still be able to see your nail bed a bit (as shown in the above photo).
The drying time isn’t unbearable, but a quicker route to using this polish would definitely be to put down a white or pearlescent white polish that’s opaque, and then go over it with Significant Other Color.
Overall I love this color and it’s a go-to for me, but the fact that it’s incredibly sheer stops it from being a true favorite.
